I have many years of genealogical experience yet I haven’t forgotten what it was like to be a beginner looking for my first link to the past. I won’t ” baffle you with science” and lots of confusing abbreviations but will show you clearly and as simply as possible how I have conducted your research.
Service covers the UK and central France. Most of the initial searches can be done on a local level, which means no big bills for travel expenses and the like. Once I get further back in the mists of time I may have to travel to search the relevant records. I will not incur any costs on your behalf that you haven’t already authorised, so you won’t get any surprise invoices.
Pre research advice given free of charge. This means that when you contact me with an enquiry I will give you realistic advice on the chances of a successful result. I will explain the types of records I will search, how I will report back to you, and give you some sources that you might like to follow up yourself.
Simple or complex – I can help you to link your generations. I offer a number of different services depending on your needs, these include high quality photographs of the churches your ancestors were baptised or married in , and copies of Memorial Inscriptions from your ancestors graves.
